Smartphone maker Asus is all set to launch its latest ROG Phone. According to a recent online leak, Asus is expected to launch the ROG Phone 5 in March. The smartphone is said to be the successor of the last year’s ROG Phone 3.
As per tipster Mukul Sharma, Asus is said to launch the ROG Phone 5 in March. The tipster has not revealed any specific launch date of the smartphone.
Recently, the Asus ROG Phone 5 appeared on the certification website TENAA. The phone surfaced online with the model number ASUS_I005DA.
The smartphone is said to come with a 6.78-inch display. Asus ROG Phone 5 is expected to house a 6000mAh battery. The gaming smartphone is also said to be powered by the flagship Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor paired with 16GB of RAM.
The smartphone is said to run the Android 11 operating system out-of-the-box.
Recently, Asus confirmed that its first gaming smartphone — ROG Phone will not receive the Android 10 update.
The company confirmed this on the Asus ZenTalk community forum. Asus ROG Phone was launched in the year 2018 and it came with the Android 8 Oreo operating system. The company rolled out the Android 9.0 Pie update for the smartphone in 2019.
It was the first gaming smartphone of the company and after that, the company has launched Asus ROG Phone II and ROG Phone 3.
A user took to the Asus ZenTalk community forum to ask about the timeline for the roll-out of the Android 10 update for the ROG Phone. After this, the moderator replied that the company has no plans of updating the smartphone to Android 10.
